Home Strategy Guides The Last of Us 2 Apartment Safe Code There are two apartments safes in The Last of Us 2, and players can find the combinations for both of them in this short guide. While many of the safe codes and combinations in The Last of Us 2 are quite easy to locate, that is certainly not true for all of them. Case in point players will encounter two different safes in two different apartments during their time with TLoU2, and both of them can prove a bit tricky to unlock. For those fans that may be stuck trying to find the combinations for either of the apartment safes in The Last of Us 2, this guide is here to help. The first apartment safe comes in the Seattle Day 2 chapter after a player has already encountered The Last of Us 2's auto shop safe. Specifically, it is in an optional building when Ellie is headed to the hospital not far past the Kingsgate Brewing bar, which players can enter by way of a crawl space. Once inside, fans can smash a window on the second floor to go out to the exterior, jump a small gap, and then smash another window to enter the apartment that has the safe in its bedroom. With respect to the combination for this first apartment safe, it is 10 08 83 though some fans report 08 10 83 working for them. The way that TLoU2 players can find this safe code for themselves is by reading the note on the nearby table that indicates that the combination is the same as the previous occupants' wedding date. Fans can then look at the calendar on the wall to learn the date of their 30th anniversary and then go back 30 years to arrive at the apartment safe code. *NOTE Players that have not reached the second apartment safe may wish to stop now to avoid potential spoilers.* The second apartment safe is found in Abby's Seattle Day 2 chapter, and players will come across it naturally as they progress through the game. The combination for this safe is 30 23 04, and determining this code begins by reading a note located in the first apartment. This note is an exchange between two next-door neighbors in the building Sam and Julia, and it indicates that the safe code is "our apartment number then your apartment number." The note also reveals that Sam's apartment number is 302, which means that players only need to find Julia's apartment number to complete the combination. This can be done simply by going out into the hallway and looking next door, and this will reveal the second apartment number is as 304. Players can then put those two numbers together to generate this The Last of Us 2 safe code and open the apartment safe. The Last of Us 2 is out now, exclusively for PS4. The Rust Commons West is a large expanse of barren wasteland spotted with bandit camps between New Haven and The Rust Commons East. It is home to all sorts of nasty spiderants and bandits. Inhabitants Notable Friendlies Patricia Tannis Chuck Durden Notable Enemies One-Eyed Jack Rakkinishu Common Enemies Bandits Rakks Spiderants Points of Interest The Cesspool Main article The Cesspool This is the Arena for The Rust Commons West. It is located just north-east of the entrance from New Haven. The Underpass Main article Underpass Located at a transition point for Rust Commons East. There is a New-U Station, Catch-A-Ride, Ammo Vendor and a Med Vendor here. There is a red weapon chest on the ledge above guarded by a small Rakk colony. A small enclosure can also be found near the Underpass containing a large amount of safes. The Outeryard Main article Outeryard Located just east of the transition point for Earl's Scrapyard and north of the transition point for Treacher's Landing. There is a New-U Station and a Catch-A-Ride here. Badass Enemies After crossing the bridge leading to the area where The Underpass is, there is a cabin on the right side of the bridge's end. When approaching the cavern, a Badass Brusier, Badass Psycho or Badass Raider will spawn from the cabin. Furthermore, there is a red weapon chest on a platform in front of the cabin. There is also a Badass Rakk spawn south of One-Eyed Jack's encampment. Aqueduct Encampment The southern most Catch-A-Ride station. There is an ammo and med vendor here. The southern transition point for The Rust Commons East is to the east and The Circle of Slaughter entrance is to the west. Treacher's Landing transition point is directly south and guarded by spiderants and bandits. Upperseeps Located in the north-west corner next to the transition point for Dahl Headlands. There is a Catch-A-Ride here with an ammo vendor and a med vendor. Circle of Slaughter The Circle of Slaughter is the circular area in the southern portion of the map, directly to the west of the Aqueduct Encampment Catch-A-Ride station. There is an ammo vendor and med vendor here. The entrance is guarded by bandits. Destroyed Bandit Camp Near the boundary lasers is a destroyed bandit camp which will trigger Rakkinishu's appearance during and after Hidden Journal Rust Commons West. There are also some trash piles and Dahl containers which may be searched for items which often yields high-quality items. Missions Main article The Rust Commons West missions Weapon Crates Main article The Rust Commons West Weapon Crate Locations BL1 Rust Commons West Chests Complete Guide Hidden Loot There is a "secret" chest off the Northwest corner of the map. While it often contains Rare Weapons, including Orange and Eridian Weapons, the efficacy of the Chest only lasts through Playthrough 1 until Playthrough 2 is unlocked. In Playthrough 2 and the chest becomes a normal Red Chest. There is a way to get off the cliff without paying the New-U fee. Face the chest and go all the way to the left side of the cliff. Stay right up against the wall of the cliffs above. Slowly walk off the cliff and characters will teleport back to the New-U machine, but without a fee. An Outrunner may also be used to reach the chest, and then the afterburner can be used to escape without having to pay a fee. See video 3 below. Alternately players can just exit to save all progress after getting the loot.
